Real Life: January 22nd - 24th

Seems like there's lots going on this weekend. So much stuff, in fact, I can't remember it all. I will do my best....

Tonight: How do you all feel about La Tropicana for dinner? Sure, they don't have their patio open because of the freezing cold and all, but they have expanded the seating area indoors. Just think Coronas, empanadas, margaritas, fried plantains and tres leches cake. So delicious. Doesn't' that sound good? Also it is right down the street from my house where I will be assembling records till the absolute last minute. Because I'm DJing tonight. At the Royale. With maybe a special guest DJ. And records. So you should come check that out.

Tomorrow: After getting my hairs cut, I will probably lounge around the house till evening when maybe I will eat some food with some people and then head to the Crack Fox to hear Mark early play some records with some other people I know. Do you remember Monday nights at the Upstairs Lounge and penny pitchers of PBR? It's those people. Fun times.

Sunday: Bridey-bride business.

So how about your weekend? Are you heading out to the art openings tonight? What's your plans, mans?

Tonight- La Tropicana sounds nice! Unfortunately, Emily and I are headed to the opening at the Contemporary. Afterward, I might surprise guest DJ someplace (if I have enough time after work to pick records). If not, we'll definitely stop at the Royale.

Tomorrow- MP3ing a track for the Re(Sound) exhibit at the Hunt Gallery. The opening is February 5th. Everyone should come by. I'll also be performing live on opening night. Later in the evening I'll be spinning records at the Crack Fox with Matty Coonfield and Eric Damhorst.

Sunday- Band practice. Glass Teeth have to make sure we have our shit together to open for the Polysics at the Firebird on February 9th.

Tonight: Mrs. YGM has been ill this week, having caught the cold that sidelined me for most of last week, so I will most likely be tending to her whimpering this evening. I'll also be relocating our office furniture and stuff from our bedroom back to our office room now that its ceiling is finished being retrofitted so that it doesn't collapse on us (plaster ceilings in other units in our building have collapsed... yikes).

f. night = momma and papa deer are coming in town last minute.  we're gonna eat some food, go to the art things, and then come to the royale (with or without elder deers in tow)

s. day = i'm sure shopping at nordy's will be involved (gotta love being at work on your day off)  any other suggestions?  we've already done most of the touristy stuff around town.

s. night = going to that cool spinning restaurant at the top of the millineium hotel for a swanky dinner.  followed by craps, roulette, or video poker!

s. morning = rooster for breakfast!  yum!  (no, not brunch - actual breakfast) then i'm painting the deer hut - 1 more week til it lists FOR SALE!!!

Tonight: Possible a wintertime BBQ, possibly some record spinnage.

Tomorrow: Gym, cleaning, homework, symphony, maybe Crack Fox (esp. if I can dance there!)

Sunday: Brunch, anyone? General lazing, crossword puzzles, etc.

tonight- mr. raygun and i will be attending one or two art openings this evening and then to the Royale to hear a certain DJ or two, spin some radical tunes.

saturday- picking my sister up at the airport, then coloring her hair.   the color actually takes better after a long plane ride!

sunday- bridey-bride business with professor!  yay!  i'm excited!!

Demanda, dancing is indeed doable at the drinking dive dubbed the Crack Fox.

Tonight: I'd like to do something -- maybe a replay of last weekend where Coral goes to dinner and I go to the Royale?  Or we could get real wacky and do it VICE VERSA!!1!

Saturday: Man, nothin', as far as I know. Maybe finishing up Coral's 2009 mix-CD that I still haven't finished? Maybe watching guys who won't play in the World Cup play soccer for the US v. Honduras in a game that doesn't matter on a TV channel that we don't get? Fun times, y'all. Someone will probably come up with something that I need to do around the house, but I'm not gonna name any names...    

Sunday: Dutch babbies, bloody Marys, fancy bacon, and tater tot casseroles with Morgan and Joe and Izzi and Clyve. Watching football, hoping for a Saints win so we can have a Cajun-themed Superfoot.
