Real Life: October 30th - November 1st
Well even though this ongoing wet, rainy mess has been lingering for weeks, the rumor is that it's actually supposed to clear up tomorrow. We'll see about that. There's one thing no weather's gonna stop from coming, and that's Halloween. In case your costume is not yet ready, that's tomorrow, folks. It is right up on us. So what are your plans to celebrate?
Tonight: Punkins and pizza at the Onion Hut. I hear this shindig goes from 6pm - 9pm and is friendly towards the wee tot set. I believe there will be pumpkin carving, if you're into that sort of thing.
Saturday: Halloween! I think the rain has made me procrastinate as long as possible this year, because we have no candy and I'm not 100% sure our porch light works. Hopefully, we can take care of all of that Saturday morning, or else the millions of trick-or-treaters descending on our home will have to settle for granola bars or fruit roll-ups in their goody bags. They're closing the street to traffic this year, and there's a kid/pet costume parade starting at 4:30pm. If you're bored and want to spend about five hours jumping up to answer the door every few seconds, listening to lame excuses to get more candy like "my brother is home sick" and "I'm allergic to chocolate, nuts, and gelatin, what other candy do you have", and questioning why some of the adults seem to be carrying their own treat bags, give me a call. Seriously though, it's all fun and good. The costumes are hilarious and kids make up insane, rambling jokes on the spot. We'll probably watch some Tim Burton flicks and drink pumpkin beers as well.
Sunday: Bug's birthday! He's all grown up! Happy birthday, Bug!
