Real Life: June 12th - 14th

I believe a good many of us are heading up to Chicago for the memorial remembering our friend, Stephanie Morris. If you can't make the trip, or weren't lucky enough to know Stephanie, you can keep a watch on St. Louis for us this weekend. Don't let it go anywhere, all right?

Tonight: If you're not headed up to the Windy City via train, plane or automobile, you should maybe eat something.

Tomorrow: If you're not attending the Stephanie Morris memorial at the Hideout, you could, I don't know, bum around the park or something.

Sunday: If you're not headed back to the Lou, you could totally lounge around the house.

What are you really up to this weekend?

It's a very sad occasion, of course, but I am looking forward to seeing our Chicago friends and hanging out with Nathan.

Just got back from a one-day trip to Dallas that was fairly exhausting, and probably doing a couple more of those in the next month. I don't know how traveling salespeople do this stuff, I'd fall apart.

If I were in town, I'd be watching the hockey game tonight. Then I'd camp out and grab my facebook.com/username at 11pm. Tomorrow, I'd probably go to the batting cages to try to improve my corkball skillz, and meet up with a few of you for dinner. Sunday I'd watch the Cardinals game and watch Star Trek that night.

What with the (recovering from being sick) baby and all, we are not making the trip to Chicago, though we will be thinking about Nathan and hopefully see him soon.

Tonight: Though the kid still has a nasty rash (apparent penicillin allergy), he's generally in good spirits, and said he might want to eat dinner with anybody who's not heading to Chicago. Can we think about 7:00 again?

Rest of weekend: Early prep work for the kid's birthday next weekend - seems the swing set needs some serious stabilizing. Also baseball watching and chillin'.

eating dinner quite late tonight with the bird.  possibly hacienda for a friend's bday.  anything going on later?

saturday i'm helping 2 people move during the day.  and then at 5pm i'm watching the bird's bowling pal's band at the tap room.  yay!

sunday i hope to install a doggie door if i can find one that's not too expensive.  and then Morty's b.f.f. is coming over in the evening for a play date.  (i love being a dog-mom!)

other than that, i'm coping with the loss of my cable and getting excited about our trip to florida in 1 week!!!!!!!!

Getting ready to leave for Chicago. It's been a crazy week. Yesterday, 10% of our staff got cut, some of them good friends, and one of my close fiend/colleagues passed away. I need wine, chocolate, and for this week to end quickly. I look forward to hugging Nathan lots, and plan on playing with Jinx (oh, yeah, and seeing Jinx's owners Cobra and Glamwreck).

I'll sort of check in on hockey at some point, I expect.

Re: Facebook: Yeah, not sure why exactly, but for some reason I also feel the pressure to grab my usual online name thingee for use on FB as soon as I can. I don't know if I'll be able to from Chi.--we'll see.

Next Friday: for those of you into this type of thing: we're watching Friday the 13th I and II at my place--be there!

Oh, yeah--anyone left in St. Louis other than Deer (who is already in on this action):Our pal, Alisa, is trying to get her stuff from Chi. to St. L., and would love help unloading the rental truck on Saturday evening, if possible (I wish I could be two places at once). If anyone can pitch in, call me and I'll pass her phone # on.

bird n deer actually are in for dinner - however, not til around 8.  can you guys just hang out for a bit after you eat and watch us eat?
