Real Life: May 15th - 17th
This weekend is looking good. Real good. First of all, it isn't
cluttered with a ton of stuff. Now, I love a full social calendar as
much as the next gal, but sometimes it's good to just bum around, you
know? Second, it's looking like the weather isn't going to be total
crap, which is always a nice thing. Third, I have a new couch. It isn't
the most squashy & lounge-y of couches, but it's still good for
sitting on. Also, the other couch was the last major hand-me-down in
the house, so now Bug & I are all like grown ups and stuff.
So this weekend, eh?
Tonight:
I would love to have dinner at King & I. I'm craving some curry,
yo. This is one of those places that we really, really need a
reservation for (since the alternative is waiting an hour) so if you
think you are even remotely interested in joining us for dinner, please
let me know before 5pm.
Tomorrow: Since all the weeds in the garden have magically disappeared,
the bushes have been trimmed, and we've got tons of flowers that are
just about going to bloom, I finally get to do the fun bit of gardening
and buy some pretty flowers and just stick them in the ground in the tiny bare spot left. I am
also considering turning that weird old green planter thing into a
potted herb garden (or some other sort of little container garden)
though we'll see if my enthusiasm matches my energy level.
Tomorrow night: I
dun'know. Is anything exciting going on? Dinner? Drinks? Dancing?
Sunday: I am either going to lunch or dinner with my step-mom for a
belated Mother's Day celebration. I am entertaining the notion of
batting cages and
Fortel's pizza for the other meal. Or possibly a picnic in my newly beautiful backyard.
For those of you who decided not to go to the
Fischerspooner
show last night for whatever reason, I would like to apologize for not
pressuring you more to go. Because it was amazing. Not only were both
opening acts insane, the likes of which I certainly never thought I
would see on a Midwestern Thursday night, but
Fischerspooner
was every bit as good as I had hoped. Upbeat music, crazy costumes,
dance routines with large spinning mirrors, huge video projections of
try-outs and rehearsals. SO EFFING GOOD. Seriously, if you ever get any
opportunity to see this show, do it. Don't think, don't hesitate, just
go and
watch and let the joy wash over you.
So anyway, what are you up to this weekend?
