Real Life: May 8th- 10th

Epic Car Alarm FAIL. Every time the thunder claps, some moron's car alarm goes off. (How's that for an angry re-make of "It's A Wonderful Life"?) Yes, so anyway, it's raining, it's pouring. It's Friday morning! Here's the things I know about this weekend...

Tonight: Pending getting my records together in a timely fashion, I may be joining you all for dinner. Bug suggested Lilly's (the little Mexican place on Kingshighway). Sounds A-OK to me. Afterwards, I will be playing those previously gathered records at the Royale. Music starts at 10pm. Shenanigans start promptly at 11:30pm. I don't really know about the shenanigans, but I do expect a fun time will be had by all.

Tomorrow: Daytime is theoretically going to be sunny. Perfect for some outdoor, yard-related activities! I'll probably be poking around in the back garden and/or tackling a giant, tree-like weed taking over one of the bushes in the front yard. Good times. Then, I believe there is a Cinco de Shindig going down for our own Ms. Deer's birthday. Hooray!

Sunday: I don't really know, but I bet it involves laundry.

I have no upcoming baseball games this week (sadface), but on Thursday I'm going to see Fischerspooner! Yay!

Tonight: Lilly's sounds lovely. No Porkchop Sr., but we'll move on without him, assuming Jr. takes a nice afternoon nap. Afterwards - home to see Sr. arrive from Chicago, then to sleep. Probably few shenanigans for me tonight, but you never know.

Tomorrow: Yes, tackling the yard. The rain should loosen up those gigantic weeds. Then Cinco de Leslie! I hear the party starts early for those of us with wee ones. Babies, that is. Those of you with wee other things can show up whenever you like.

Sunday: Rest. Or more gardening. We have 4 different colors of iris these days, and they're all blooming. Yay.

Tonight: Count Pingotsis and I out for dinner unless I post again later or, if it's much later, I'll call one of you who is going. We were up most of the night preparing for a site design presentation meeting this morning. I only had two hours of sleep, but thankfully the design was a hit! Now we are going to sleep until we wake up... which could be quite a while.

Saturday: We're meeting Sabine (the half of our Berlin friends who is still in town) at the Contemporary Art Museum in the afternoon to see some Chantal Akerman films. In the evening we'll be at Cinco de Leslie. As Katie and I will be coming straight from the Contemporary, would anyone be up for bringing a couple veggie burgers for grilling with our names on them? I will happily pay you on Tuesday for a veggie burger tomorrow night.

Sunday: Cooking for Katie's mom for mother's day.

I will probably pass on dinner tonight, as I'm trying to save a dollar or two. We'll see how energetic I feel re: Royale--it's gonna be a long day...

Tomorrow: working with the under-eleven crowd, cleaning (desperately needed), and Cinco-ing. That's right--that word is a verb now.

Sunday: working, with a slight chance of intermittent Mother's Day activity later in the day.

On May Ten, a few of us (ok, it may be two of us) are to be out at The Tin Can to say yay about Mad Ape Den. I'll sip an ale and hit a bit of pin-orb, too.

deer here.  back from the windy city.  redbird and i are in for lily's.  and hopefully i'll get a head count for cinco dinner eaters. the rest of the weekend will be either preparing for or recovering from cinco...

be warned now.  there will be a tequila tasting event. (bug, that means you in specific)
