Real Life: April 17th - 19th
Hey there, hi there, ho there. It's felt like a busy week to me. NHL playoffs have started, Carpenter got hurt again, Yadi stole a base, I went to something called a Tweetup (sadly NOT the dorkiest thing I've ever done), my email inbox is overflowing, and I basically ran around like a crazy busy person every other moment in-between. I am on the last pattern repeat of that gray lace slouch beret, however, so that's progress. I know you're keeping track. So anyway, it's the weekend again, and it seems rather Spring-ish out there. I'm wearing a dress sans tights today!!! That's a big win in my book.
Tonight: Dinner at EBL!!!1! It seems ya'll didn't go there last weekend, which is a huge score for me, 'cause I wanna go to there tonight. And hockey won't even interfere since it doesn't start till 9pm anyway. So you can go watch that after delicious spicy potato filled burritos (or whatever you eat there, it's all good). I'm going to try to go to my cousin's birthday event later tonight at Harry's Bar on Market street. Now, I don't think I even knew they had bars on Market street. Bug says it's a creepy pick up bar, so it should be an adventure!
Tomorrow: Bug & I are going to get our hairs cut at V Vegaz. Then there's some sort of big old record shindig at Vintage Vinyl where I might attempt to pop in to see what's going on. If it's crazy, which it might be, I doubt we'll be there long, but there's free PBR... so who knows? Afterward we might lounge around on Art Hill for a while, since I'm assuming this warm, sunshiney weather will last forever. Saturday night? What's going on? Give me a call if you want to get some food or drinks or hang out.
Sunday: Maybe some tentative stabs at digging in the garden. I don't know what's supposed to be out there and what's weeds. Usually I dig eveything up and plant new stuff every year, since I don't know what the hell I'm doing. This year maybe I won't dig anything up and let everything out there fend for itself. Does anyone have any suggestions on plants that come back year after year, maybe flower a bit, and don't need a bunch of maintence? We've planted wildflowers in the past, which grow maybe too well. Last year we got the shorter versions, and they still ended up being 6 feet tall. It's insane.
So that's my long-winded explanation of my weekend in minute detail. How about you? What are you up to?
