Real Life: March 27th - 29th

Hello. Hello, again.

Spring Weekend 2009! Kinda like Spring Break, but for grownups and chopped up into tiny intervals scattered throughout a month! Whoo hoo! What are you gonna do with your Spring Weekend? Beer pong? Keg stands? Maybe get an ill-planned tattoo?

Or, how about this...

Tonight: King & I. We will probably have to make a reservation, since the last time a bunch of us showed up, we had to wait a rather long-ish time for a table. So if you're planning on joining us for delicious curries and crazy drinks filled with umbrellas, let me know by 5pm. If you're uncertain of your dinner fate by then, you're still more than welcome to join us, you just might have to sit at another table. We'll still love you.

The rest of the weekend: Starting the serious spring cleaning of the house. I don't entirely know what this will entail, but I think there's some re-arranging, removing and scrubbing in my future. Good times!  Let me know if you're up to anything more fun.

Also, people in the know, when's the next Mizzou game? We're considering having folks over to watch it, but I can't figure out when that is going to be. Let me know if you know. Thanks!

no king-n-i for the deer.  not only am i kickboxing, i'm now on suze orman's strict budget plan - is there any way we can throw some pot luck dinners into the mix for friday night dinners??? (also anyone know someone who wants to be my roommate?!)

saturday i'm working all day - kids fashion show.  then ameristar casino in the evening for a friend's bday party.

sunday looks promising...

Deer--Wasn't Young Guy Madden looking for someone to put up a student for a month or so?

I will be working all weekend long (I *might* get out for dinner tonight--I'll call someone if I do). I also have a party to attend at the Skatium if I'm not totally wiped tomorrow night.

Please come to the Museum on Saturday or Sunday for Ming-related fun (tea-tastings, martial arts, guzheng concerts, Peking Opera, Dragon Dances, art projects..., ! I'm also looking for someone to help out with a story telling session on Friday--someone with a big, booming voice to read the part of the Ming Emperor...any takers?

Sunday evening I will need a drink.

Young Guy Maddin was indeed looking for a place to house two students (in their late 30s) for a month, but I think they may have already found a flat.

The Ping and I regret that we are unable to make the King and I tonight.

Saturday we're spending the afternoon with our nephew; not sure about the evening yet.

Sunday we're working during the day and going out with some of Ping's friends from high school for dinner.

Tonight: PCJr. and I are on the fence about K&I - had Indian buffet for lunch, are trying to get PCJr.Jr. on a better sleep schedule, etc. We'll try to figure it out by 5:00 and let you know.

Rest of weekend: Watching the basketballs, I reckon. I hear the Mizzou game is Saturday at 3:30 or so, so if somebody's hosting that, we'd be down for watching, nap schedules permitting. Also maybe laying out garden edging with the last of the broken up bricks. And also watching the snow fall.

As for future potlucks, yes! In fact, we would be willing to host a potluck next Friday, beginning at, say, 6:00. Because the new plan is for PCJr.Jr. to be asleep at 8:00 when practical. Not that we'd kick you out at 8, just that the kid would go sleep in the bedroom.

Aw, crumbs. Looks like the game is at 3:40, so Bug & I aren't going to be able to host it after all. Sorry about that. We've got a trivia thing tomorrow evening and I think that will start before the game ends.

this evening - eating dinner with the 'rents.  getting into various things on the streets of the citay.

tomorrow - meeting an old friend at uncle bill's at 9:30 in the morning.  i hope that i don't oversleep.  watching me some basketball in the afternoon.  hangin'.  hangin' with mister cooper.

sunday - driving back to columbia; returning to the grind.

Pot luck sounds cool, but people gotta work! Most of the time I'm not out of here by 6pm (as you might notice). Can we do potlucks at 7:30pm? We can put headphones on the baby so he stays asleep.
