Real Life: September 5th - 7th

Hello Fall! I think. Maybe. It's probably going to be 90 degrees tomorrow, but right now it's all drizzly and cool. Kind of nice, really. Good spicy food weather.

Tonight: I kind of would like to try this Mango place, which has intrigued me for a while, but I've never visted due it's unfortunate location in the Mackenzie Point strip mall. It's apparently quite good, though, according to this review in Sauce and the menu has lots of tasty-looking dishes on it. It's even got delicious-sounding vegetarian items for $10 or less. I haven't actually been there, so I don't know how it would work size-wise for us. Dave is claiming that maybe you all went there sometime a long time ago for Happy Life. If we are feeling less adventurous, may I suggest ye olde standard EBL? Let me know what sounds good to you.

Tomorrow: I don't know yet. Probably gardening (aka chopping down massive overgrowth with sharp things). Hopefully knitting (I'm finishing a lovely cabled scarf and am super excited to start on my first sweater. I know you're all really excited for me). Then finding some food and drinks in the evening for nourishment and social interaction. I love social interaction! It's my favorite!

Sunday: Making the house look nice for my family to come over and look at it. The dinner with said family. They eat really early, so I could probably hang out around 7:30 or 8:00 when normal people just start eating. Or work on doing the laundry. Whatever.

How's your weekend looking?

Mango is quite good, though may not be able to handle a big crowd? Nonetheless, I think I can actually attend tonight and would like to give it a try.

After: Hanging out with the ladies!

Saturday: Schlafley's Art Outside fest, maybe farmer's market, homework, cleaning.

Do folks want to come over Saturday night and finally watch "Helvetica"? I have many beers left over from last week's party...

I remember not liking Mango when we went a long while back, but perhaps I ordered poorly (Bland Chicken Dish For $17... that was it's actual name on the menu). We'd be up for trying it again. Maybe I'll have better luck if I stick to its vegetarian options.

Saturday: Art Outside fest. Working in the evening.

Sunday: Working.

Hotpants: Quick note about Peruvian food, if you really have your heart set on spicy: it's actually pretty mildly spiced in my limited experience.

I am certain we've been to Mango--it was several years ago.  I don't remember much about it.  I'd be up for trying it again, although I am due for some EBL.  I vote for a trip to EBL tomorrow if we don't go tonight.

As for the rest of the weekend, I'll be in town, sans husband, so maybe I'll finally get some stuff done.  probably not, though.

Sounds like we're generally up for Mango tonight. I'd also be up for EBL tomorrow, though I'd completely forgotten about the Art Outside thingy. I'd like to go to that, too.

I feel like Mango was very hit-or-miss, depending on the dish you ordered... We may go, or stay home and eat the fried rice Porkchop has planned to cook for 3 weeks now. I am definitely in need of EBL soon, but Porkchop tricked me into eating Mexican food for lunch, so he can claim that he's all Mexican'ed out. Though of course Mexican people eat Mexican food 3 times a day and you don't see them complaining about it.

Our weekend is unplanned. Might have to go shop for long-sleeved clothing for Porkchop Jr. Jr. Also it's the start of football season, so Porkchop Jr. Sr. will be on the couch all day Sunday, if you're looking for him.

News Flash: The Ping and I are gonna stay in tonight... only because we're both exhausted (bedtimes for me the last two nights have been 6am and 3am). Enjoy the night and we'll catch up with everyone soon.
