Real Life: June 6th - 8th

Why is every Friday night thunderstorm night? Can't a girl eat outside on a patio? Seriously, that's all I really want. So I was hoping to suggest La Tropicana, but the evening is predicted to be a wash out *again* so that might not be a good idea. They have a big tent thing covering the patio, but it still might not be wise if there's lightning or lots of wind or hail like last weekend. There are about a billion things going on on Cherokee Street tonight, including Mark Early's performance with Shed Shot at Fort Gondo, so maybe we should eat over there.

There's a new Thai place called Basil Spice at 3183 South Grand Boulevard, it's good food, it's a big space and the people seem nice. What say we sup there this fine evening?

Saturday: Finishing up the office, assembling the last bits of furniture, filing the paperwork, plugging in the electronics, and pitching a bunch of garbage that has been moved multiple times for no good reason. Then I want to eat Indian food, which I've been craving for a week or so.

Sunday: Going to a family graduation/birthday party for some cousins. Then probably working in the garden.

What are you up to?

Tonight: Working late-ish, and then going to the Crammed art show at Star Clipper, and then eating a food with y'all, maybe, if I make it in time, and then going over to Cherokee.

Tomorrow: Breakfast with out of town pals who are now in town, Strawberry Festival, packing, etc.

Sunday: Working, packing, reading.

Monday: Sleeping in.

It's wedding mania over here. Tonight we've Abby (my sister) and Dan's rehearsal dinner and then tomorrow's the wedding and Sunday there's a brunch thingy. Right now I'm busy working on the toast that I'm giving tonight.

I hope everyone enjoys the wet evening, wherever it takes you. Hopefully next Friday the weather will be good for La Tropicana.

Tonight: Dad's birthday dinner, possibly at the new Tower Tacos on Cherokee, since apparently certain members of my family forgot they were hosting some type of event at their piano shop, so can't go too far for dinner.

Sat: Possibly acquiring local strawberries in various forms.

Sun: Nuffingk.

Mon: Who wants to help me haul large, heavy boxes of school supplies out of my classroom, to my house, and up into my insufferably hot attic? Don't all volunteer at once!

Tonight: I haven't talked to Ezz yet, but I'll make an executive decision that we'll go to Thai food.

Tomorrow: We have lunch plans w/ Ezz's gandma, but maybe I'll skip and go eat strawberries instead.  I haven't decided yet.  I WILL mow the backyard--the grass is taller than Lucy.

I'm thinking I'm going to try Tower Tacos tonight as I will be in the neighborhood.

Oh good, looks like Mark wasn't killed by a torcano. On my way home from work, the radio dudes were listing Valmeyer as one of the places where people should seek shelter immediately due to torcano sightings. He's still not invited to my dad's birthday, however.
