Real Life: February 2 - 4

Hopefully today's not my Groundhog Day. It's not that it's horrible, just pretty uneventful so far, and it'd get pretty boring to have it happen over and over again. I'd hope it'd be a weekend day. I mean, sure, I could skip work, but every day I'd have to deal with the guys in the office asking why I wasn't coming in, acting concerned if I pretended I was sick or something, and maybe accidentally running into them at lunch or something. It'd just be easier if it were a Saturday.

Speaking of Saturday, it's Friday. Anything going on this weekend? I'm up for dinner tonight. Anyone been anywhere new? Otherwise I'd be up for some standby we haven't visited in awhile, like, say, Four Seasons.

Sunday is obviously SuperFoot, over at the Onion House, so I hope you're getting your chilis in order.

Speaking of today being Friday: I'm working late, as per usual these days, so I'll call to meet up with you guys after dinner?

Speaking of today being Friday, tomorrow is Saturday--I'm going to be in an art show! 1920 North Broadway (the old General Waste Bldg, for those of you who know it). I recommend you mapquest first, as Broadway does not just go in a straight, driveable line from downtown. Sponsored by PBR, so free beer happens. 7 p.m. to ?

After that, I will go to Mangia at around 11-ish to see the Gentleman Callers for free!

I'm also going to speak of Sunday: Sooperf00t!1! I will bring a cheesecake or some such, as I have no time to cook.

There was some talk of a girls-only alternative Happylife, but I have no idea whether anyone is motivated enough to actually make that happen. I do intend to eat dinner at a restaurant. The who's and where's I'm not so particular about. Four Seasons is okay by me, or somewhere else.

Saturday: Prepare for Superf00t by cleaning, shopping, researching secret chili recipes, and maybe taking care of some school stuff for next week, so I'm not grading papers while others watch The Big Game. Anybody got Superbowl picks to wager on? Also I guess I'll go view some art, drink some PBR and listen to some free Gentlin' Collars.

Sunday: Superfoot starts at 4:00. The most magical night of the year!!1!

p.s. Luke - do you have my coral avatar still? That thing was Pantone matched to be a particular shade of coral.

p.p.s. - I want to be able to edit my comments so as to avoid the "p.s." business.

Tonight I'll prolly just take it easy on the E-side.

Tomorrow - Art Show, Galen Gandolfi fundraiser, and Gentleman Callers!

Sunday - Superfoot! In a surprising move, I'm bringing a totally vegetarian chili. Normally, it would probably be Brad and I vieing for the best con carne, but I think I can hold my own with the vegetables. I may also win the starngest chili award, depending on how you define it.

Exactly how would one define "Starngest"?

Ez is in town, so I vote against girls-only HL (though I would enjoy some lady time some other night).  Ezra loves Four Seasons.

Mlle. Pingotsis and I will be staying in tonight. I've had flu-like symptoms all week. Yuck. We'll probably play Scrabble and watch South Park. Unfortunately I will probably miss all the fly festivities this weekend. Boo.

My money's on Amanda's cheescake.

Amanda's money's on Amanda's cheesecake, too, actually, as she will be buying it from a local bakery.
