Real Life: March 20-22: Sorta Spring Edition

Well, it's sorta warm, and it's kinda sunny, and it's more or less spring, and it is most assuredly a weekend. How do you plan on spending said weekend?

What about my plans? How nice of you to ask! I plan on attending HL for the second week in a row! Amazing! I don't want Indian (just had it) or any other cuisine that features cumin prominently, but have no opinion beyond that. Olympia? Somewhere new?

Tomorrow: Missing a very important baby shower because I have to work at a day-long symposium on Ming-Era decorative arts, sculpture, and painting. sigh. In the late afternoon, if I get out of work in time, I plan on going to the opening of Binge and Purge, a new vintage clothing/knick-knack/misc. ship run by Ashley of Vultures fame--anyone wanna join me? And later that night? Not a clue yet. You?

Sunday: Work, unwind, sleep!

Note on next weekend: I've planned this huge Ming Family Festival Weekend, with music, dance, artists' demos, martial arts, theatre, storytelling, tea tastings,,,Saturday and Sunday, free for all. You should totally come to this thing!

Tonight: I'm gonna try to hit this big baby/kids' stuff consignment sale with my mom at 6:30. If it proves fruitless or if we are efficient, PCJr.Jr. and I will try to meet up w/ folks for HL somewhere. Olympia sounds tasty, though somewhere closer to home might be slightly more convenient for me. But don't take me into account, since we might not even go...

Saturday: Kick out all the extra mens I been keeping 'round while Porkchop was out of town. Baby showerin' in west county, seein' what Porkchop wants to do when he gets home in the evening.

Sunday: Chilllin', admiring our newly destroyed and partially rebuilt yard, attending the Mark Birke birthday memorial dinner at Happy Joe's. Open invite, if you hadn't heard.

Oh, yes--forgot about the Mark Birke thing. I plan to go to that, too.

The Ping and I will continue our losing streak of being Friday night bums by sitting it out tonight. We found ourselves occupied with car craziness for several days this week and are now making up for it by working a lot this weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone soon! Really!

Ezz and I would love some dinner.  Sounds like it might be a small crowd, so we should coordinate via telephone at some point.

As for the rest of the weekend, I don't have any specific plans other than the shower with the baby.  I hope it continues to be nice outside, so I can start doing some yard work.  Also, I should probably do some taxes.
